All new Xfinity Mobile customers opting for the By the Gig data plan have one option: 1 GB of data. You can use the data amount yourself or share it with others on your account, for a monthly rate of $20 per month. If you go over 1.2 GB , you'll be charged by rounding up your data usage to the next GB and be charged an additional $20.
You can upgrade your account to the latest plan by visiting My Account online or the Xfinity app.
Starting April 15, 2025, the By the Gig data plan will only be available through our assisted sales and support channels. If you're already on this plan, don't worry—nothing changes for you! You'll still be able to manage your By the Gig lines via the Xfinity app or online at Xfinity.com/mobile.

- All the By the Gig lines on your account will share 1 GB of data for $20 per month.

- Any individual line that uses more than 20GB in a month will have reduced speeds until the end of the bill cycle.

- Premium data gives you priority of service during moments of network congestion, like at music festivals and sporting events.
- If you're using cellular data, you may use data more quickly.
- You can save data by connecting to one of our 19 millions of Xfinity WiFi hotspots nationwide.
