If you want, you can keep your current phone number when joining Xfinity Mobile. We accept phone numbers from all carriers.
Notes:
- You cannot choose your number for your new Xfinity Mobile phone unless you keep your current phone number.
- Your new phone number is selected during the activation process and assigned once activation is complete.
- The area code of your new number is based on the Xfinity Internet service address you have on file.
Bring your current phone number to a new phone
When you get your new phone from Xfinity Mobile:
- Visit activation to start transferring your phone number.
- You’ll need to enter some account details from your previous carrier, including:
- Your account number.
- A transfer PIN (one PIN per account).
- The account holder’s name.
- The last four digits of the account holder’s Social Security number (SSN).
- The account billing address.
- Confirmation that the account isn't locked.
- If you're having trouble locating this information:
- Find the contact information for your previous carrier.
- Get in touch with them.
Keep in mind the activation process time varies if you're transferring:
- A phone number from another wireless carrier.
- This can take anywhere from 10 minutes to a few hours.
- A landline phone number.
- This typically takes two to five business days.
- This typically takes two to five business days.
Note: Toll-free numbers and pager numbers aren't eligible to be transferred to Xfinity Mobile. This includes 500, 800, 888, and 900 prefixes.
Bring your current phone and phone number
You can keep your phone and update your network by bringing your own device to Xfinity Mobile. You’ll need the account details listed above to transfer your number.
