Learn how to turn on camera sound and use two-way audio on your camera, so you can talk and listen while viewing live video.
Understand two-way audio
If you have a compatible camera, two-way audio is available with the latest version of the Xfinity app.
This feature lets you hear what's happening around your cameras when viewing live video and allows you to talk through the camera speakers.
Notes:
- Two-way audio is only available with the latest Xfinity Camera (xCam2) on the latest Xfinity app. One-way camera sound is supported on the Xfinity app, Xfinity Home app, and on X1.
- Please note that video recorded before turning on Camera Sound won't have sound.
Your Privacy Matters — Camera microphones are turned off until you turn on Camera Sound. We'll always ask for microphone access on your Xfinity app. You can control this access in your phone's settings.
