This document provides step-by-step instructions on how to add, pair and remove your Kwikset Door Lock using the Xfinity app.

Before Adding Your Door Lock
- Download the Xfinity app on the App Store or Google Play.
- Confirm your door lock is compatible with Xfinity xFi and supports Zigbee.
- Note: If you're installing a Kwikset Convert, ensure it's compatible with your existing door’s hardware.
- Install your door lock according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Kwikset requires a Phillips screwdriver – make sure you have one handy.
- If you have multiple door locks, you’ll need to pair each one individually.
Setting Requirements
Your xFi Gateway must be activated before you can set up your door lock. To activate and control your door lock from the Xfinity app, make sure your xFi Gateway isn’t in Bridge Mode. Add and Pair Your Door Lock
- Sign in to the Xfinity app with your Xfinity ID.
- Select the Security tab.
- Select the Add devices button.
- Select the manufacturer and the model of the door lock you’re pairing.
- There are four types of Kwikset locks to choose from.
- If your lock is one of the three Zigbee devices, you will need to have Pro Protection (touchscreen controller).
- If your lock is the Convert Smart Lock which pairs with your Xfinity Gateway, Pro Protection is optional, but you must have an XB6 or higher.

- Tap Get Started to begin pairing your door lock.
- Note: Based on the model you're activating, the images you see in the app may vary from what is shown here.
- You need to perform a few actions before pairing your door lock. Check each box when you’re ready to proceed.
- Your gateway will be configured to work with your new door lock. Tap Continue to begin pairing your device.
- You’ll be prompted to remove the front cover from your door lock.
- Note: Based on the model you're activating, the images you see in the app may vary from what is shown here.
- Press and release the A button on the top left corner of your door lock four times. Wait until the lock button lights up on the front of the keypad.
- Note: This could take up to two minutes. Don’t leave or close out of the app during this time, or you may need to start over.
- Your door lock should now be connected. You’ll see a confirmation message.
- Enter a name for your door lock.
- You may want to choose a name based on its location in your home.
- Tap Name Your Device to continue.
- Notes: You can also choose to skip this step and rename the device later from the Device Settings page.
- The activation pairing process is now complete.
- Tap Set Notifications if you want to enable notifications for your door lock.
- Tap the X in the upper right-hand corner to control it from the Security tab.
- After successful pairing, the Security tab will show the status of your door lock and any other smart devices you have linked.
Remove Your Door Lock
- Sign in to the Xfinity app with your Xfinity ID.
- Go to the Security tab.
- Access the Device Settings page by selecting the ellipses icon (...) on the device tile of the lock you wish to remove.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page and tap Delete Lock.
