Learn how to use the Xfinity Home app to arm and disarm your Xfinity Home system.
Did you know? You can add rules to arm or disarm your system at a time you choose and turn on lights if an alarm is triggered.

Arm your system
On the Overview screen, the Armed/Disarmed icon shows the current Arm mode that your system is in: Stay, Away, Night, or Disarmed. Learn more about arm modes.
- Sign in to the Xfinity Home app.
- On the Overview screen, tap the Disarmed icon.
- If the shield icon is gray, you need to close a door or window or bypass the sensor.

- On the Arm System screen, tap the icon for the Armed mode you want to activate.
- Authorize arming:
- Android and Apple: Enter a valid keypad code.
- Fingerprint ID (Android) or Touch ID (Apple): Touch the fingerprint icon.
- Face ID (iPhone X): Your face is automatically scanned.
Notes:
- If you've changed your keypad code since the last time you used your fingerprint or facial scan to arm or disarm your system, you will have to use the keypad.
- If you don't have fingerprint or facial recognition set up:
- Tap the fingerprint icon on the bottom-left of the Keypad screen to enable Fingerprint ID or Touch ID.
- Tap Use Face ID at the bottom of the screen to enable Face ID.
Bypass sensors
A green shield means that your system is ready to be armed. A gray shield means that your system is not ready and will indicate that one or more sensors is open. You can bypass a sensor and then arm the system, but please be aware that the alarm will not sound if the sensor is triggered.
- Tap the Sensor Troubled message.
- On the next screen, select the troubled sensor.
- Toggle the Sensor is active switch off.
- Warning: The alarm will not sound if this sensor is triggered.

- It should display Sensor is bypassed.
- Return to the Overview screen. The system is ready to arm.
- Remember — the sensor will stay bypassed until you turn it back on.

Disarm your system
- Sign in to the Xfinity Home app.
- On the Overview screen, tap the Armed icon.
- Authorize disarming:
- Android and Apple: Enter a valid keypad code.

- Face ID (iPhone X): Your face is automatically scanned.
