Xfinity Mobile’s latest price plan includes unlimited calls and texts to and from Mexico and Canada, and unlimited data when traveling to those countries when you choose an unlimited data option.
- You get the Mexico and Canada Unlimited Pass included with the Unlimited and Premium Unlimited data options, which includes up to 5 GB of high-speed data per billing cycle. After 5 GB of data is used, unlimited data is available at up to 3 Mbps for the remainder of your billing cycle.
For By the Gig data customers and customers on all prior Unlimited plans:
- Unlimited calls and texts to Mexico and Canada from the United States and data use while traveling in those countries is available for $5 per month per line when you add a Mexico and Canada Unlimited Pass or you can pay as you go.
- The Mexico and Canada Unlimited Pass includes 5 GB of high-speed data per pass per month as well as unlimited calls and texts to Mexico and Canada. After 5 GB of data is used, data is available at 3G speeds until a new pass is started.
- The data you use while abroad will not count toward your By the Gig or Unlimited data options.
All customers can purchase one additional pass per billing cycle giving you 5 more GB of high-speed data per pass, per month. After the additional 5 GB of data is used, data is available at 3G speeds until a new pass is started.

With the Premium Unlimited or Unlimited data options
On our latest price plans, unlimited calls, texts, and data between the United States and Mexico and Canada are included for all customers with the Unlimited or Premium Unlimited data options. You don’t need to do anything; it is automatically part of your plan.
With Premium Unlimited and Unlimited data plans, you get the Mexico and Canada Unlimited Pass, which includes up to 5 GB of high-speed data and then unlimited data at up to 3 Mbps for the remainder of your billing cycle. 3 Mbps speeds are good for things like email and internet browsing.
- You can purchase one additional pass per billing cycle giving you 5 more GB of high-speed data per pass, per month. After the additional 5 GB of data is used, data is available at 3G speeds until a new pass is started. For details on how to add, see Adding an additional Mexico and Canada data pass.
Offered data speeds are subject to availability in the location you are using your phone.
With the By the Gig data option and prior price plans
With By the Gig data, and with any data option on our previous price plans, you can add a Mexico and Canada Unlimited Pass for $5 per month per line by following the steps below. This lets you place unlimited calls and texts to Mexico and Canada as well as offering unlimited data while traveling to those countries.
- You can purchase one additional pass per billing cycle giving you 5 more GB of high-speed data per pass, per month. Adding the Mexico and Canada Unlimited Pass
If you have a By the Gig plan or an Unlimited plan bought before March 22, 2024, you can follow the steps below to add the pass.
Good news! If you have an Unlimited plan purchased after March 22, 2024, you already have this pass included — no need to add it!
Xfinity app
To add the Mexico and Canada Unlimited Pass using the Xfinity app:
- Sign in to the Xfinity app.
- Click the Services tab.
- Go to Mobile lines and data usage in the Mobile services card.
- Choose the phone line you’d like to turn the feature on.
- Scroll to Plan features, then select Get Mexico and Canada Unlimited Pass and follow the prompts.
- You may be required to sign in again.
- You'll see a confirmation screen once you’ve successfully added the Mexico and Canada Call Pass.
- Before getting started, make sure your device is enabled for data roaming.
- You must do this through your device’s settings.
Xfinity.com
To add the Mexico and Canada Call Pass using your Xfinity Mobile account on xfinity.com:
- Sign in to your Xfinity Mobile account.
- Go to the Activity page.
- Scroll to International Services and select Mexico and Canada Unlimited Pass.
- Go to See details and add next to Mexico and Canada Unlimited Pass $5/mo.
- Check the boxes next to Mexico and Canada Unlimited Pass for each device you want to include.
- Select Next, then Add Pass.
- We will send you an email once the change is complete.
- Before getting started, make sure your device is enabled for data roaming.
- You must do this through your device’s settings.
Adding an additional Mexico and Canada Unlimited Pass
If you already have the Mexico and Canada Unlimited Plan on your line, you can follow the steps below to add another pass.
Xfinity app
To add an additional Mexico and Canada Unlimited Pass using the Xfinity app:
- Sign in to the Xfinity app.
- Click the Services tab.
- Go to Mobile lines and data usage in the Mobile services card.
- Choose the phone line you’d like to add the Mexico and Canada Unlimited Pass to.
- This takes you to the line details screen.
- Scroll to Plan features and select Mexico and Canada Unlimited Pass.
- Buy an additional pass for $5 to resume high-speed data.
- Select Add a pass to continue.
- Check the boxes next to Mexico and Canada Unlimited Pass for each device you want it on.
- Click Next, then Add Mexico and Canada Unlimited Pass.
You can also follow the steps below to add additional data.

To add an additional Mexico and Canada Unlimited Pass using your Xfinity Mobile account on xfinity.com:
- Sign in to your Xfinity Mobile account.
- Go to the Activity page.
- Scroll to International Services and select Mexico and Canada Unlimited Pass.
- Go to Add additional data next to the line you’d like to update.
- From the pop up select Add to continue.

Here are a few things to be aware of if you add the Mexico and Canada Unlimited Pass on one or more lines:
- The $5 per month charge will recur until you choose to remove the pass.
- When you remove it, it remains active for the rest of your current billing cycle.
- At the start of the next billing cycle, it becomes inactive.
- When it gets removed, you will go back to pay as you go rates for your calls to Mexico and Canada and data from Mexico and Canada.
- Your Unlimited Pass comes with you if you switch between data plans.
Upgrade to the latest plan
Upgrade to the latest price plan in the Xfinity app:
- Download or open the Xfinity app.
- Sign in to your account using the Primary user’s Xfinity ID and password.
- From the Services tab, select Mobile lines and data usage located within the Mobile services card.
- If you are not on the newest plan, there will be a link that gives more details about it. Click Explore the new plan to learn more. If you are on the latest plan this won’t be available.
- You may be required to sign in again.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to continue upgrading to the latest plan.
