There are several voicemail greeting options.
You can choose a standard greeting that we provide, personalized with either your phone number or your recorded name. Or you can record a personal greeting, up to two minutes in duration.
Set your voicemail greeting
- Dial *99 or your Xfinity Voice number. Enter your passcode when prompted.
- If you are accessing your voicemail for the first time, you will be prompted to create a password and record a personalized greeting.
- Press 4 to go to the Personal Options menu.
- Press 3 to go to the Greetings menu.
- Press 1 for Personal Greetings. You then have the following options:
- Press 1 to set the standard greeting with your Xfinity Voice number.
- Press 2 to set up your standard greeting with your name.
- Press 3 to record a new personal greeting.
- Press * to return to the Main Menu.
Set your extended absence greeting
An extended absence greeting lets your callers know that you’ll be away for a while. When this option is set up, callers won’t be able to leave a message.
- Dial *99 or your Xfinity Voice number. Enter your passcode when prompted.
- Press 4 to go to the Personal Options menu.
- Press 3 to go to the Greetings menu.
- Press 2 to turn on and record your extended absence greeting.
Set up a greeting schedule or alternate greeting
You can also set up alternate greetings that play only on weekdays, weekends, or certain periods of the day:
- Dial *99 or your Xfinity Voice number. Enter your passcode when prompted.
- Press 4 to go to the Personal Options menu.
- Press 3 to go to the Greetings menu.
- Press 6 to go to the Scheduled Greetings menu.
- Press 1 to establish a greeting schedule (or update one that already exists).
- Press 1 again to record an alternate greeting (if you haven’t already), which will play outside of the scheduled times you set.
- You’ll be asked to enter the times when your normal greeting will play on weekdays and weekends. Your alternate greeting will play at all other times.
To turn off your greeting schedule, navigate back to the Scheduled Greetings menu and press 2.
Alternatively, to re-record your alternate greeting, go back to the main Greetings menu and press 5 to record a new alternate greeting.
