Set up text alerts
Before you can get text alerts, register your mobile number in your account. See Register your phone to get text alerts for more info.
Use text alerts
Once you've registered, you can use text commands anytime to instantly get information about your account. Text any of the following commands to 266278 (COMCST):*
- APP: Get links to download Xfinity apps.
- APPT: Confirm your appointment.
- BAL: Check your balance.
- BILLING: Get help with billing and payments.
- COMMAND: See all available features.
- HELP: Get additional service information.
- LOC: Find an Xfinity Retail Store.
- NOAPPT: Cancel a service appointment.
- OUT: Check for service outages.
- START: Resubscribe to Xfinity service text alerts.
- STOP: Unsubscribe from Xfinity text alerts.
- WAITLIST: Request text messages regarding the Appointment Waitlist.
Tip: Add 266278 to your phone's contact list so you have easy access to text commands.

Manage text alerts
Text alerts are as easy to stop as they are to set up. To stop receiving text alerts, text STOP to 266278. If you ever want to restart text alerts, text START to 266278 from your mobile device.
Please note that if you opt out of receiving text alerts, you may still receive text messages in direct response to questions or requests you initiate by text. Also, you can't opt out of receiving certain communications pertaining to your account, including (but not limited to) communications regarding:
- Emergencies.
- Fraud.
- Other violations of law.
- Security issues.
- Harm caused to the network.
