FAQs
How do I connect to my property’s WiFi?
- Look for the email Xfinity sent to the email address you provided prior to moving in.
- This email includes instructions for accessing your property’s WiFi.
- Click Get Started in the email to verify your information and create an Xfinity ID.
- Once you have your Xfinity ID, look for an email with the network access instructions.
- When you have your ID, you can also view your WiFi and network information in the Xfinity app.
- Select your network from the list of those available and enter the network password.
- Sign in with your Xfinity ID and password.
I didn’t receive an email with my WiFi access credentials. What should I do?
The email with your WiFi access credentials should have been sent to the email address you provided to your property staff. Once you have your Xfinity ID, you can look up your WiFi and network information in the Xfinity app.

- If you can’t view your WiFi info, contact us at 1-800-XFINITY.
I am experiencing WiFi connectivity issues. What should I do?
To improve your connection, clear your device’s cookies and cache and restart your browser by:
- Google Chrome: Press Ctrl+Shift+Delete and click Clear Browsing Data.
- Mozilla Firefox: Press Ctrl+Shift+Delete.
- Safari (Mac OS): Press Cmd+Option+E.
If you’re still unable to solve your connectivity, speed or service issue, contact us at 1-800-XFINITY. You’ll need to be in your apartment with the device that’s experiencing connectivity issues.
Can I add on additional Xfinity services?
Yes! Refer to your Xfinity welcome letter for the additional services available to you, such as Xfinity Mobile, Xfinity X1, or Xfinity Voice. Contact 1-800-XFINITY to add on services.
I leased an Xfinity X1 TV Box. How do I connect it to my WiFi?
When your new X1 TV Box arrives, follow the steps below to activate and connect to your WiFi network:
- Secure the HDMI cable between your TV and X1 TV Box. Turn on your TV and select the HDMI input.
- Plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet and connect the other end to the USB-C port on your X1 TV Box.
For residents living in a property not affiliated with a university: - Remove the tab from the back of the remote, aim it toward the X1 TV Box and wait for onscreen instructions.
Can I upgrade the internet speed in my apartment?

How do I connect to my dormitory’s WiFi?
- Refer to your Xfinity welcome letter, which has your dorm’s network name.
- Locate your network from the list of those available.
- Enter your network’s password highlighted in your welcome letter.
- Authenticate using your school login (university email address and password) to access your dormitory WiFi and streaming TV service.
My university credentials (email address and password) are not allowing me to connect to my dorm’s WiFi. Who should I contact?
If your university credentials are not allowing you access to your dorm’s WiFi, reach out to your university’s IT team for assistance.

How do I start streaming?
- Download the Xfinity Stream app or visit xfinityoncampus.com.
- Tap Sign in here if logging in on the Xfinity Stream app.
- Enter your school in the search field.
- Sign in using your school credentials.
- Once signed in, start watching.
I am having issues signing in to the Xfinity streaming TV service. Who should I contact?
