Control Your Works With Xfinity Devices
Basic Settings
Once a compatible device is linked, you'll be able to control the device from the Xfinity app.
Simply navigate to the Security tab of the Xfinity app.
Each compatible device that is added will have a separate tile with access to basic settings for the device. For example, if you've linked your LIFX lights with xFi, you'll see a tile for each compatible LIFX light bulb that allows you to turn the light on and off and adjust the brightness.
Detailed Controls for Compatible Lights and Thermostats
Access additional settings for each device by selecting the ellipses icon on any device tile. Once selected, you can access advanced settings, such as color for compatible lights and the fan setting for thermostats.
Device Settings for Locks
Additional settings for Locks can be accessed the same way and include features such as Lock Schedules and Notifications.
To set up a Lock Schedule, tap Lock Schedule, toggle Enable Schedule to the On position and select a time that you want the device to automatically lock.
To set up a Notification for the device, select which type of Notification you would like to enable. When you are prompted that xFi would like to send you notifications, select OK. From there, toggle Enable Notification to the On position.
Link Devices Together
Locks or lights added to xFi can be linked to any Xfinity Cameras you may have to provide additional controls from your live camera view. For example, with a lock linked to a camera, you can see who may be at your front door and easily lock or unlock it with a tap.
To link a lock and a camera, select the ellipses icon on a Lock device tile. Once selected, tap Device Linking and select the camera you want to link.
To link a light and a camera, tap the camera thumbnail, then camera settings and finally Device Linking. Select the light you want to link.
