Whether you’re at home, traveling or just working late, you can get to your voicemail from just about anywhere. Listen to and manage your Xfinity Voice voicemail over the phone or online whenever you’re away from home. There’s no extra setup required.
Access voicemail from any phone
From your home phone
- Dial *99 or your home telephone number.
- When your personal greeting starts, press #.
- Enter your passcode when prompted.
Mobile or landline (away from home)
- Dial your home phone number.
- When your personal greeting starts, press #.
- Enter your passcode when prompted.
Access voicemail online
Listen to and manage your voicemail from any computer, mobile phone or tablet with internet access.
Get started
- Sign in to Xfinity Voice using your Xfinity ID and password.
- Find the voice message you want to listen to and click the Play button.
Download a voicemail
- Sign in to Xfinity Voice using your Xfinity ID and password.
- Click the Options icon on the right for the voicemails you'd like to download.
- Select Download Voicemail in the drop-down menu.
- You’ll see the file download at the bottom left side of your screen.
- You can access the file in your download folder or choose to save it in another location.

Automatic playback
The automatic playback control manages whether your voicemail automatically plays a new message once you dial into your voicemail system, or if you want to be prompted by the system to listen to your messages.
To access this feature from a phone:
- Access your voicemail mailbox system following the instructions above.
- From the main menu, press 4 for personal options.
- Press 2 for administrative options.
- Press 1 for general options.
- Press 4 for message detail playback options.
- You then have the following choices:
- Press 1 to toggle automatic playback of the date and time each message was received.
- Press 2 to toggle automatic playback of the name of the person leaving the message.
To access this feature online:
- Sign in to Xfinity Voice Voicemail Settings using your Xfinity ID and password.
- Select Checking Voicemail (if not already chosen).
- Set your Playback preferences using the on/off toggles.
- Playback options include:
- Automatically play my new messages when I dial into my voicemail.
- Announce the date and time when playing voicemails.
- Playback options include:
Mark a message as "heard"
When viewing voicemails in the Xfinity Voice portal:
- The red dot to the left of a voicemail indicates the voicemail is "unheard."
- Click the red dot to mark the voicemail as "heard."
- A white dot to the left of the voicemail indicates the voicemail has already been listened to or "heard."
- You can also use the Mark All Voicemails as Heard button on the left navigation bar or click on the red dot located on the top-left of the voicemail list.
- Note: Marking a voicemail as "heard" will also turn off the voicemail light on your home phone.
Voicemail capacity
You’ll want to keep an eye on your voicemail’s capacity because a full voicemail inbox will not allow further messages. Learn more at Xfinity Voice – Voicemail Capacity.
