Primary Xfinity users can sign in to the Max website and app using your Xfinity ID and password on any supported device. Secondary Xfinity users will need to use the Max account and password created and provided by the Primary user.

What is Max?
Max is a streaming service that includes iconic series, award-winning movies, fresh originals, and family favorites featuring the worlds of HBO and the DC Universe, as well as shows from genres like food, home, reality, travel, adventure, true crime, and more. Whatever mood you're in, Max has something to watch.
Max is available to new and existing Xfinity TV customers who subscribe to Max (formerly HBO Max) either a la carte or as part of a package — along with Xfinity Internet customers who subscribe to Max through Flex.
What's included with Max?
If you have X1 or Flex and have Max Standard (learn more about this tier in the next section), you can watch:
- HBO
- Live channels, like HBO 2, HBO Family, HBO Latino, and more.
- HBO On Demand
- Choose from some of the best HBO programs, including full seasons of past and current HBO original programming, top Hollywood movies, exclusive specials, and kids' programming.
- Streaming Content
- The Max app, with all of HBO plus an expanded catalog of programming of the most iconic series, family favorites, blockbuster movies and the best variety of home, food, travel, true crime, and reality shows.
- HBO programming on the Xfinity Stream app and Xfinity Stream portal.
The Max app on Xfinity platforms joins close to 200 streaming services on X1 and Flex including Peacock, Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Amazon Music, YouTube, MGM+, STARZ, and Pandora — all searchable with the award-winning Xfinity Voice Remote.

Which Max subscription tier is right for me?
- Max Standard: Enjoy your movies and shows on your regular cable channels and On Demand without ads for $16.99 a month.
- You can also enjoy them on the Max app, which has an expanded catalog of programming.
- Max Basic with Ads: Enjoy your movies and shows on the Max app with ads for $9.99 a month.
- Regular HBO live cable channels and On Demand content on your TV aren’t included.

FAQs
Why are there only a few episodes of Max original shows available on my TV?
Max offers sampling content (one to three episodes) of original programming on your Xfinity X1 TV Box or Flex streaming TV Box. Sampling content is free to all customers. You can watch all episodes of Max original programs, such as And Just Like That... and Hacks in-home by signing in to the Max app on your X1 TV Box or Flex streaming TV Box. This requires a subscription to Max Standard or Max Basic with Ads and activating the Max app.
What’s the difference between Max | HBO and Max on my Xfinity X1 TV Box or Flex streaming TV Box?
Max | HBO provides access to HBO original programming including live channels, On Demand, and streaming content. Max | HBO content is viewed on your Xfinity X1 TV Box or Flex streaming TV Box without having to log in. Some content will launch the Max app.
Notes:
- The Max Basic with Ads tier doesn’t include regular HBO linear cable channels and HBO On Demand content.
- All content must be watched through the Max app on Flex or X1.
- Max is the streaming service which includes groundbreaking HBO series and documentaries, shows from DC and hit blockbuster movies, award-winning specials, family friendly favorites, and best-in-class shows for food, travel, true crime, home, reality, and more.
- Content is accessed through the app directly and requires you to log in.
Are there any accessibility features?
Since this is a third-party application, most of your accessibility user preferences on X1 and Flex won't be observed once you launch the app. However, you can enable the app’s own accessibility features, which will vary within the app.
Do I need to register or sign in to use the Max app on Flex or X1, website/app on a computer, mobile device or streaming TV Box?
Yes, you’ll need to use your household's Primary Xfinity ID and password to sign in and/or create a Max account. Then, you can sign in using your Primary Xfinity ID or your household's Max account to do everything from managing your account to enjoying access to entertainment services. I’m an existing Xfinity Flex or X1 customer with Max Standard. How can I downgrade to Max Basic with Ads?
You’ll have to cancel your Max subscription, launch the Max app on Flex or X1, and sign up for Max Basic with Ads.
I already have a Max account. Can I use this to access the Max app on my X1 TV Box?
Yes, you can also sign in using your existing Max account email and password. Follow the steps outlined on the Max website for assistance.
Why can't I access the Max app on my X1 TV Box?
The app isn’t supported on RNG150 and Pace XG1v1 X1 TV Boxes, but you’ll be able to exchange your RNG150 or Pace XG1v1 X1 TV Box on X1 by choosing the Max app tile.
How do I watch Max content while I wait to receive my eligible X1 TV Box?
While you wait for your eligible X1 TV Box, you can access Max shows and movies on the new Max app and website on any supported device at no additional cost by using your Primary Xfinity ID and password to sign in and/or create an Max account.
Does watching the Max app and website count against my monthly internet data usage?
Yes, the Max app and website content is streamed over the internet, and it will count against your monthly data usage.
How can I manage my Max website/app account?
You can set up parental controls and viewer profiles on the Max website, directly from within the app on Flex and X1, or from the Network sites and apps parental control settings in your account.
I’m not the primary Xfinity user but I want to watch Max. How do I do that?
Only Primary Xfinity users can use their Xfinity ID and password to sign into Max. The Primary Xfinity user in your household will need to create a Max account and password and then share that information with you so you can use it to sign in.
Where can I watch Sesame Street?
You can watch your favorite Sesame Street episodes, including the new season, on the Max app on X1 TV Boxes and Flex streaming TV Boxes, or the Max mobile app and website. Also, four rolling episodes are available through PBS On Demand without an Max | HBO subscription.
