What HD channels do I have access to?
Access to HD channels is determined by your Xfinity TV package. If you get the channel in Standard Definition (SD), you’ll get the same channel in HD.
Where can I find available HD channels in my area?
You can find your HD channel lineup by visiting xfinity.com/learn/channel-lineup-bundles.
What sports are available in HD?
We offer sports on channels like ESPN HD and NBCSN. Check your menu guide on your TV Box for a full list of sports channels in HD.
What premium movie channels are available in HD?
We offer premium movie channels in HD such as Cinemax HD, HBO HD, Starz HD, Showtime HD and MGM+ HD.
How does installation work?
We'll switch out your current TV Box for an HD TV Box. You can choose either professional installation or a Getting Started kit can be mailed out or picked up at a Comcast Service Center.
Will I get my local broadcast channels in HD?
Yes, we offer:
- ABC HD
- CBS HD
- NBC HD
- FOX HD
- PBS HD
How do I know I'm watching HD?
HD channels have a much clearer picture and sound than its SD counterpart. Additionally, on the channel listings, the HD channel is usually listed with an HD after the channel name (for example, ESPN will be the SD channel and ESPNHD is the HD channel for the sports network. Go to Xfinity TV to view your local channel lineup.
Are more channels coming?
Yes, we're expanding the HD lineup.
How can Comcast keep up with satellite when it comes to HD channels?
Satellite can only add more HD capacity by launching new satellites, which is costly and requires new home equipment that you'd have to purchase.
Verizon Fios has pledged to offer 1,000 HD On Demand shows. How's that different than what you're doing?
We offer more local and original programs, including political coverage, movies and kids' shows.
