To simplify your mobile experience, Xfinity is retiring the Xfinity WiFi Hotspots app on January 25, 2024. You can now view a map of all available Xfinity WiFi hotspots and most customers can securely auto-connect to them using the Xfinity app.
Beginning January 4, the Xfinity WiFi Hotspots app will be removed from the Apple App Store and Google Play.
If you’re an Xfinity Mobile customer, your device automatically connects to secure Xfinity WiFi hotspots. If you’re not an Xfinity Mobile customer, you can auto-connect to secure Xfinity WiFi hotspots by following the steps below. There are a few exceptions, which are listed after the steps.
- Delete the Xfinity WiFi Hotspots app from your device(s).
- Sign in to the Xfinity app.
- Select the WiFi tab and select WiFi hotspots.
- Select Connect automatically and tap Auto-connect now.
- Follow the prompts to securely connect to Xfinity WiFi hotspots.
If you’re an Android user currently running Android 10 or earlier, you won’t be able to connect to the secure Xfinity WiFi hotspots, but you can connect to our open network hotspots, which have the SSID xfinitywifi.
If you’re an Xfinity Mobile customer signing in to the Xfinity app on an iOS device that isn’t on Xfinity Mobile, you can download and install our hotspot profile on the device from secureprofile.wifi.connected.xfinity.com.
If you’re not an Xfinity Mobile customer and you’re using a device with Android 11 or higher that isn’t on Xfinity Mobile, you’ll be able to begin automatically connecting to secure Xfinity WiFi hotspots after January 18, 2024 (you will need to be using the Xfinity app version 5.16 or later). Before January 18, you can connect to our open network with the SSID xfinitywifi.
