Whether you are bringing your own device or adding a brand new one, we made the activation process simple — and you can do it all on your device in the Xfinity app. Activation times vary but the process usually takes about 10 minutes. You can either use an existing phone or tablet that has the Xfinity app installed or the phone or tablet you want to activate to complete this process. For the best experience, be sure to download the Xfinity app on your new device.
Xfinity Mobile billing begins seven days after the date your devices ship, even if your devices are not yet activated for use. There's a one-time $25 line setup fee for every new phone or tablet line.
You can use these steps for both mobile devices and tablets. To get started, are you:
- Activating a new number on a new line?
- Transferring (or porting) your number from your previous service provider?
- Activating a new device on an existing line?
