A compromised Xfinity ID means there is evidence that someone other than the account owner or an unauthorized user may have accessed or learned the password of an Xfinity ID associated with your account.
A compromised Xfinity ID may or may not have already been exploited, meaning someone may have used it to order services or access your personal information. In these cases, you should reset your password to secure your account.
If we think your ID was compromised, you’ll be asked to reset your password the next time you try logging in. Additionally, we'll send notifications to the verified email and mobile number we have on file for your account. You won't be able to access your comcast.net email or other Xfinity services until you reset your password.
Reset your password
If your Xfinity ID is compromised, you'll see an error message asking you to change your password:
“As part of our commitment to you, Comcast routinely reviews and monitors account security. Please update your password to help protect you and your account.”
When you select Reset password, you'll be taken to the password reset page. See how to reset your Xfinity password for more information about this process.
