The following changes will occur:
- You can no longer have an "N11" number as part of your Speed Dial entry. For example, you cannot enter "911." Any such entries currently in your Speed Dial list will be removed from the list beginning in May 2020.
- You can no longer store a Vertical Service Code (* codes) as part of the dialing sequence in a Speed Dial entry. For example, you cannot enter "*67 333 444 5555." Any such entries currently in your Speed Dial list will be removed from the list beginning in May 2020.
- When entering a new telephone number for Speed Dial, Selective Call Forwarding and/or Variable Call Forwarding via a Vertical Service Code, you will not be notified if you enter a non-valid 10/11-digit terminating telephone number. If a non-valid telephone number is entered, the call will fail at the time Speed Dial, Selective Call Forwarding or Variable Call Forwarding is used.
- You will receive one generic Error Announcement (“We are unable to complete your request.”) when there are failures activating features via Vertical Service Codes, as opposed to previously providing specific announcements based on error type.
- Anonymous Call Rejection now precedes Selective Call Forwarding. This means that Selective Call Forwarding will no longer work with an anonymous number if you have Anonymous Call Rejection enabled with your service.
- You can no longer dial a Vertical Service Code and a Speed Dial code together as one sequence. For example, "*67-4#” and “*67-44#" will generate an error.
- If you dial an unassigned Speed dial code, you will receive a re-order tone with the new system. You will no longer hear an announcement indicating the call was misdialed.
- For Repeat Dialing (*66) and Call Return (*69), you can only make a single repeat dial or call return request to one telephone number at time.
- You can’t enter an invalid number as a Call Screening entry. For example, “555-555” will generate an error.
- If you choose to place your account on seasonal hold, you won’t be able to activate Variable Call forwarding through a star code. You can still use the Xfinity Connect website to activate Selective or Advanced Call Forwarding.
