Is This Your Device? Make sure that your key fob looks like the one in the image below. If it does, you're in the right place to find out how to install a battery in your key fob.
- Use your thumb or finger to press down firmly on the rear cover, then slide the rear cover backward until it separates from the key fob.
Take a look. If a battery is already present, remove it by using your fingertip to gently pull one end of the battery up until the battery is loose and you can pull it free from the slot. - Insert the new battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
- Align the sides of the rear cover with the tracks on the KeyFob body, making sure the rear cover latch is facing forward. Slide the rear cover along the tracks until the latch snaps into place.
- When the new battery is inserted correctly and the rear cover is attached properly, the LED light on the front of the key fob flashes three times every five seconds.
