Learn how to access, change your local feed, watch videos, and more on the Local Now app on Xfinity Flex and X1.
Access the Local Now app
- Go to the Apps Menu and select the Local Now tile.
- The main screen will show local news, weather and videos (according to the ZIP code at your service address) and more.
Changing a location
- To change your location, use your remote’s arrows to select the drop-down in the upper left hand corner and press OK on your remote.
- Select Add New Location.
- To change or add another location, enter your five digit ZIP code or two letter state abbreviation.
- Select the tile to the right and press OK on your remote.
- Use the arrows on your remote to choose your local feed.
- To add more locations, repeat steps 2-4.
Watching a Local Now video
- Watching a new video: With your remote, use the arrows to select any of the tiles at the bottom of the screen. Press OK on your remote to watch.
- Watch a previous video: Select the Previous icon.
- Watching the next video: Select the Next icon.
- Pausing a video: Select the Pause icon.
- Exit the app: Press Exit on your remote, or press the back arrow and choose Yes to exit.
Turn Closed Captions on or off
- Go to the Settings icon and press OK on your remote.
- Go to the Closed Captions toggle button.
- Press OK on your remote to turn it off or on.
- Note: Closed Captions only play for the “Live Now” news feeds.
Local Now Settings
- Go to the Settings icon and press OK on your remote.
- Press the down arrow button on your remote to go to the Help Center, Privacy Policy, Terms and Conditions, or Submit Feedback.
- Press the OK button to choose your selection.
