If you have Xfinity X1, you can manage your Music Choice Plus subscription plan (if it’s billed by Xfinity) right through your X1 TV Box! This includes checking your Music Choice Plus plan status and canceling your subscription.
You can also change your current subscription from Music Choice’s Single profile plan to a Family plan or downgrade from the Family plan to the Single plan, as well as change a pending cancellation of your Music Choice Plus subscription by resubscribing from your TV Box.
If you have Xfinity Flex, you can’t yet subscribe to Music Choice Plus on your Xfinity Flex streaming TV Box. For questions about the Music Choice app, see the Music Choice app overview.
Sign up for Music Choice Plus through Xfinity
- Say “Music Choice” into your Voice Remote to open the Music Choice app on your eligible X1 TV Box.
- Use the remote arrow buttons to go to Plus Free Trial at the top of the screen.
- Start your free trial by choosing the button for the Single plan (which features one user profile) or the Family plan (which features three adults' profiles and two kids' profiles).
- Choose Add Profile to continue, or Close to go back.
- Use your mobile device or computer to enter the code you see on screen.
- Complete the steps, then your screen will refresh.
- You can also choose Use TV Remote Instead at the bottom to continue on your TV.
- From here, make a new profile by choosing Create New Profile on TV or find an existing profile by choosing Add Existing Profile to TV.
- From here, make a new profile by choosing Create New Profile on TV or find an existing profile by choosing Add Existing Profile to TV.
- You can also choose Use TV Remote Instead at the bottom to continue on your TV.
- You’ll be asked for consent for the app to collect your personal information.
- If you want to opt out, check the box for Do not sell my personal information.
- To continue, choose Next.
- Enter information for the first adult profile.
- You need to make an adult profile first before you can make any kids’ profiles.
- You need to make an adult profile first before you can make any kids’ profiles.
- Choose OK to agree to the Music Choice Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
- If eligible, you’ll see information about your seven-day free trial offer, including the end date and date you’ll start being charged for the subscription.
- You'll see the charge as a line item on your Xfinity bill.
- Choose Subscribe to continue.
- You’re now subscribed!
- After the seven-day trial period, you’ll automatically be charged the monthly price.
- You can unsubscribe from Music Choice Plus at any time from the X1 settings menu.
Check the status of Your Music Choice Plus subscription
After starting your Music Choice Plus subscription (if it’s billed by Xfinity), you can check the details from the Apps & Subscription menu in Settings on your Xfinity X1 TV Box.
You can say “Manage Music Choice” into your Xfinity Voice Remote, or go to Settings then Apps & Subscriptions.
If you’re billed by Xfinity for your Music Choice Plus subscription, you'll see the details of your Music Choice Plus plan, including the monthly price of your Music Choice Plus plan and the date your subscription will renew.

Change your Music Choice Plus plan
If you subscribed to a Music Choice Plus plan through Xfinity, you can change that plan from your TV Box.
- Once you’re logged into the Music Choice app, go to X1 Settings, then Apps & Subscriptions. Press OK on your remote.
- You can also say “Manage Music Choice” into your Xfinity Voice Remote.
- You can also say “Manage Music Choice” into your Xfinity Voice Remote.
- You'll see the details of your current Music Choice Plus subscription.
- Press the down arrow to get to Change Plan. Then, press OK.
- Press Next on your remote to select the available plan.
- Choose Change plan to confirm your new plan or Back to go to the plan options again.
- When you submit the change, you’ll see a "Thank You" message, confirming that the new subscription is active.
- Your new subscription details will be displayed on the screen when you’re taken back to the Apps & Subscriptions menu.
Note: When upgrading your subscription to the Music Choice Plus Family plan, you'll be charged a prorated amount on your Xfinity account immediately, while downgrading to the Music Choice Plus Single plan will appear in your next Music Choice billing cycle.
Unsubscribe from your Music Choice Plus subscription
If you subscribed to a Music Choice Plus plan through Xfinity, you can cancel that plan from the Apps & Subscriptions menu.
- Find your plan under Apps & Subscriptions in X1 Settings.
- You can also say “Manage Music Choice” into your Xfinity Voice Remote.
- You can also say “Manage Music Choice” into your Xfinity Voice Remote.
- You'll see your current Music Choice subscription details.
- Press the down arrow to get to Unsubscribe, then press OK.
- You’ll see options to Unsubscribe or Back to go back to the previous menu.
- The next screen will confirm you’ve unsubscribed.
- You can continue accessing Music Choice Plus until the end of your current Music Choice Plus billing cycle.
- When you go back to the Apps & Subscriptions menu, you’ll see your current subscription plan and the cancellation date.
Change pending cancel for Music Choice Plus
If you subscribed to your Music Choice Plus plan through Xfinity and chose to cancel your subscription, you can still Resubscribe if your Music Choice subscription hasn’t yet canceled.
- Go to the Apps & Subscriptions menu. Find it under Apps & Subscriptions in X1 Settings. You can also say "Manage Music Choice" into your Xfinity Voice Remote.
- You’ll see the option to Resubscribe if your Music Choice subscription hasn’t yet canceled. Press OK once you’ve selected it.
- You'll be asked to confirm your choice by choosing Resubscribe.
- The next screen will say “Thank You” and confirm you’ve resubscribed.
- When you go back to the Apps & Subscriptions menu, you’ll see your current subscription plan and the renew date.

What will happen to my Music Choice Plus account if I cancel my Xfinity service or change my Xfinity package?
- If you downgrade or change your Xfinity service by removing Xfinity X1, you’ll no longer be able to access Music Choice through your X1 TV Box.
- You’ll only be able to access Music Choice through a compatible computer, mobile device or another internet-connected device.
- Note: Xfinity customers with a Music Choice Plus subscription billed by Xfinity and who no longer have access to an X1 TV Box can cancel their Music Choice Plus subscription billed by Xfinity by contacting us.
- However, we can’t upgrade or downgrade your Music Choice Plus subscription.
- If you disconnect Xfinity Internet, you’ll need internet access through another internet service provider or wireless internet service provider to access Music Choice Plus through a compatible internet-connected device.
- If you remain subscribed to at least one Xfinity service and continue to receive a billing statement from us, you’ll continue to be billed for Music Choice Plus on your Xfinity bill.
- If you disconnect all your Xfinity services, you’ll eventually lose access to Music Choice Plus.
