NOW Internet is available by ordering through your online account or visiting an Xfinity Retail Store.

Eligibility
For NOW Internet service, you'll need:
- To be located within the Xfinity footprint and reside at a serviceable address.
- Check if your address is eligible for NOW Internet by visiting our NOW Portal.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
NOW Internet is not available for customers who:
- Subscribe to other Xfinity services (except Xfinity Mobile).
- If you want to downgrade from Xfinity Internet to NOW Internet, you’ll need to remove all other Xfinity services (except Xfinity Mobile).
- Have Bulk Video, Bulk Internet, Managed WiFi, or WiFi Ready service.
- Are located at fiber properties.
Equipment requirements
Professional installation is not available for NOW Internet services. Customers will receive Getting Started kits that contain appropriate equipment and activation instructions for self-installation.
NOW Internet Getting Started kit contents include:
- NOW Internet Gateway (XB3)
- Model number: TG1682P
- Standard Xfinity Internet Getting Started kit contents (power and coaxial cable).
- A quick set-up guide for self-installation.
Note: Customer owned and managed modems are not compatible with NOW Internet service
Activate NOW Internet
You can use the Xfinity app to activate your NOW Internet service, as well as view your plan, equipment, and account information.
If you’re a new NOW Internet customer, here’s how to activate your service:

- Download the Xfinity app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
- Alternatively, you can scan the QR code that comes with your NOW Internet Getting Started kit to begin activation. This will also take you to the app store on your mobile device.

- From the home screen of the Xfinity app, you’ll see a tile with the header, “Got new equipment to set up?” Under this tile, tap Activate now.
- Tap Get started to begin the activation process.
- Follow the instructions to locate your WiFi name and password on your NOW Internet Gateway. Once you have it, tap Next.
- Within a few minutes, the top three lights should stay solid on your gateway. Once they stay solid, tap Lights are solid. If they don’t, check your coax cable or try another cable outlet.
- If the lights on your gateway don’t stay solid after checking your connection, tap This isn’t working.
- If we can’t find a connection to your gateway, you can troubleshoot the issue by tapping Lights aren’t working or Chat with Xfinity Assistant.
- If the lights on your gateway don’t stay solid after checking your connection, tap This isn’t working.
- It may take a few minutes to finish your gateway setup.
- Be sure not to leave the app or unplug your gateway during this time.

- Your activation is now complete! Tap Done to restart your gateway to finish steup.
- Your Gateway will automatically restart to complete set up.
