Personalized ads in third-party apps
- Press the xfinity or home button on your remote.
- Use the right or left arrow buttons to get to the gear icon, then press OK (or the center of the directional pad) to go to Settings.
- Use the up or down arrow buttons to get to Privacy, then press OK.
- Go to Personalized ads in third-party apps and press OK to change the setting as you’d like.
- If the setting is set to On, third-party apps may show you personalized advertising, and activities by third-party apps are allowed, subject to Cal. Civ. Code §1798.135: Do Not Sell My Personal Information.
- Note: This is the default setting.
- If the setting is set to Off, third-party apps may not show you personalized advertising, and activities by third-party apps are not allowed, subject to Cal. Civ. Code §1798.135: Do Not Sell My Personal Information.
- Settings for Personalized ads in third-party apps apply to all TV Boxes and/or streaming devices on your account.

No, this setting only applies to third-party apps (e.g., Peacock, Hulu, etc.) that you use on your TV Boxes. If you want to opt out of personalized advertising in cable channels or on Xfinity sites, you can do that online in your Xfinity account settings.
