If your Xfinity Home Touchscreen Controller has lost connectivity to your in-home WiFi network, certain features of your Xfinity Home service may not be fully functional. Follow the steps below to restore your connection as soon as possible.
Reconnect your touchscreen to your in-home WiFi network
You'll receive the following message when your touchscreen loses connection to your in-home WiFi network. If you dismiss this alert, it'll still be available in the Notification Center on the Home Screen.
To resolve:
- Tap Go to WiFi Settings.
- Enter your Master Keypad Code. Your touchscreen will begin searching for available WiFi networks.
- Select your WiFi network name and tap Next.
- If your network isn't listed, ensure that your WiFi router or Gateway is plugged in and turned on.
- If you’ve configured your WiFi Network Name (SSID) to be hidden or non-broadcasting, tap Network Not Found and enter the network name.
- If your network is greyed out, you'll need to refer to your manual for your router to ensure the network is configured to use WPA/WPA2 or AES security.
- Enter your WiFi network password and tap Next.
- Once your touchscreen has successfully reconnected to your WiFi network, you'll be taken back to your Home Screen. If your touchscreen wasn't successful in connecting to your WiFi network, you'll receive the “Unable to join Wi-Fi” message and be taken to the available WiFi network connections screen.
