The Self Service feature allows you to perform self service functions on your non-X1 TV Boxes, similar to the self service features that are available to you online via My Account.
You can get help with any of the following, right on your TV Box:
- Viewing self help videos
- Programming your remote
- Checking connections
- Viewing payments and your bill detail
- Managing appointments:
- Viewing an upcoming installation or repair appointment
- Canceling an upcoming repair appointment
How to access self service on your TV Box
- Press the Menu button on your remote control.
- Use the arrow keys on the remote to highlight iTV on the Main Menu screen. Press the OK button.
- Highlight Self Help and press OK.
How to use self service on your TV Box
- You will be presented with a Main Menu screen. Options presented on this screen include:
- Videos
- Set Up Remote
- My Services
- Billing
- Appointments
- You can select an option by scrolling using the arrow buttons on your remote control. The Videos section allows you to access self-help videos.
- The Set Up Remote section allows you to program your Comcast remote control. See instructions on programming your remote using the self-help feature on non-X1 tv boxes.
- The My Services section allows you to check for outages in your area and view the status and diagnostics for all devices associated with your account.
- The Bill & Payments section displays your amount due and provides options to pay your bill online or by phone. You are required to sign in using the last four digits of your Xfinity account phone number before the information displays.
- The Appointments section allows you to view all of your upcoming appointments, including the date, time and nature of the appointment.
- You are required to sign in using the last four digits of your Xfinity account phone number before the information displays.
- Repair appointments can be cancelled via the Self Service feature (see example below). To cancel an installation appointment, contact us.
