Configure router
- Open your preferred browser and type the router IP address--either http://routerlogin.net, http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.1.1--into the address bar and press the Enter key.
- The Login prompt will ask for the router configuration user name and password.
- The default user name is admin and the default password is password.
- Click Setup Wizard in the top left corner and select Yes, then click Next.
- The Setup Wizard will detect the type of Internet connection. For cable Internet connections, Setup Wizard will detect Dynamic IP. Click Next.
- You do not have to change your default settings.
- The router will now save these settings. When complete, you can verify whether you’re connected to the Internet from the Router Status > Maintenance menu.
- Make sure you have a valid IP address – not blank or 0.0.0.0 – on the Internet port assigned by your Internet Service Provider (ISP).
