Learn what to do when you have a problem with an ecobee Thermostat connected to your Xfinity system.
What you'll need
- Xfinity Home or Xfinity Internet (This feature is limited to Xfinity Internet customers who reside in certain areas of Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.)
- Access to the Xfinity Home app
- A compatible ecobee Thermostat, installed and activated according to the manufacturer's instructions
- Your ecobee login credentials
Troubleshooting your ecobee Thermostat
Before you begin:
- Have you installed your ecobee Thermostat and activated it with the ecobee app?
- Have you connected your ecobee Thermostat to the Xfinity Home app?
- Do you know how to control your ecobee Thermostat from the Xfinity Home app?
If you can't control your ecobee Thermostat from the Xfinity Home app:
- Restart the Xfinity Home app.
- If the problem continues, confirm that you can control your ecobee Thermostat from the ecobee app.
- If you can control the device from the ecobee app, wait a few minutes, and then try the Xfinity Home app again, or contact us.
- If you can't control the Thermostat from the ecobee app, please contact ecobee Customer Support.
