What you'll need
- Xfinity Home
- Access to the Lighting Module you're having trouble with:
- GE plug-in Wireless Smart Dimmer
- GE plug-in Wireless Smart Switch
- Leviton Decora Smart Zigbee plug-in Dimmer
- Leviton Decora Smart ZigBee plug-in Outlet
Difficulty
Easy
My lighting device won't pair.
Try moving the lighting closer to the Xfinity Home touchscreen.
Remove any other wireless devices, such as the internet modem, router, cordless phone etc. between the lighting device and the touchscreen.
Your lighting should be able to pair if it's within 65 feet of the touchscreen, but you may need to move the lighting device closer depending on the construction of intervening walls (e.g., brick versus drywall) or other obstacles (e.g., large appliances such as a refrigerator).
If these actions don't resolve the issue, try resetting your lighting device.
I can't control the light plugged into my lighting device.
- Make sure the light's switch is turned on.
- Check the light bulb.
- GE: Make sure the light is plugged into the left outlet on the lighting device.
- The right outlet is always on and cannot be controlled remotely.
- If the lighting is plugged into an outlet controlled by a light switch, make sure the switch is turned on.
- Did you pair the lighting device with your Xfinity Home system?
- Verify that your Xfinity Home touchscreen is online. If not, restore the connection.
How do I reset my lighting device?
The lighting device can be reset, but will need to be re-paired with your system.
