If you’re subscribed to Unlimited data on our latest price plan and want to view HD video over cellular data, upgrade to Unlimited Plus for HD streaming.
Note: Customers with HD streaming included in their Unlimited Plus plans must turn on the feature using the Xfinity app or xfinitymobile.com.
How do I turn HD streaming on and off?
Unlimited Plus includes HD resolution while you're streaming on cellular data. If you have HD streaming included in your plan, you'll need to turn the feature on using the Xfinity app or xfinitymobile.com.
Turn on or off using xfinitymobile.com:
- Sign in to your Xfinity Mobile account online.
- From the Activity page, select the line you want to update.
- Select Switch to 720p (HD) or Switch to 480p (SD).
Turn on or off using the Xfinity app:
- Download or open the Xfinity app.
- Sign in to your account using the Primary user’s Xfinity ID and password.
- From the Services tab, select Mobile lines and data usage located within the Mobile services card.
- Once you’re on the Xfinity Mobile landing page, select the phone line that you’d like to switch video quality.
- Under the Plan Features section, select Change video resolution and follow the prompts to Switch to 720p (HD) or Switch to 480p (SD).
- You may be required to sign in again.
