This article outlines how to find and view full email headers, which includes details such as sender, recipient, subject, send time stamp, receive time stamp and more, from an email message in the latest versions of Comcast Webmail, Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, and Mac Mail, to report and help us track Spam emails.

View from the toolbar
- Select a message or multiple messages.
- Click the three stacked lines from the toolbar to give you more actions from the drop-down menu.
- Choose View source to open the header information.

Mac Mail
- In the Mail app on your Mac, choose View > Message > All Headers.
- To view fewer header fields again, choose View > Message > Default Headers.
Microsoft Outlook
- Open Outlook.
- Double-click an email message to open it outside of the reading pane.
- Click File > Properties.
- Header information appears in the Internet headers box.
- Tip: You can highlight the information in that box, press Ctrl+C to copy and paste it into Notepad or Word to see the entire header at once.

Mozilla Thunderbird
- Open the message in Thunderbird.
- Once the email is opened, click View from the menu bar.
- Under the View tab, choose Message Source to open the header information.
Copy and paste email header into a new email to report spam
After you have found the full message header from the spam message:
- Compose a new email, with the following:
- To: abuse@comcast.net
- Subject: “Phishing email”
- After copying the header from the spam email, paste it into the email you just composed and hit Send.
