Learn how to use Voice Guidance on your Xfinity Home touchscreen to announce screen options.
Note: Voice Guidance and other Accessibility features are only available on the latest touchscreen model. If the Accessibility option does not appear on your touchscreen and you would like to access these features, contact the Support Center for Customers with Disabilities.
Turn on Voice Guidance
- On your touchscreen, tap the gear icon at the top right hand corner of the home screen to open the Settings menu.
- Tap Accessibility.
- Enter your master keypad code.
- Tap the toggle next to Voice Guidance to turn Voice Guidance on.
- If you tap the Voice Guidance Shortcut checkbox, you will be able to turn Voice Guidance on and off by pressing the Home button three times.

Use Voice Guidance
Slowly drag your finger around the screen and Voice Guidance will announce the icons, buttons and other features as you roll over them. Once you hear the item you want to select, tap twice anywhere on the screen to select it.
Alternatively, you can swipe left or right anywhere on the screen to navigate through features. Double tap to select.
Enable the Voice Guidance shortcut
- Tap the gear icon at the top right hand corner of the home screen to open the Settings menu.
- Tap Accessibility.
- Enter your master keypad code.
- The second option on the Accessibility screen is the Voice Guidance shortcut. Tap the checkbox to enable it.
- Press the Home button on the bottom right hand corner of the touchscreen three times to turn Voice Guidance on or off.
- Note: This is a slightly indented physical button, not an on-screen button.
Change the speech rate of Voice Guidance
- Tap the gear icon at the top right hand corner of the home screen to open the Settings menu.
- Tap Accessibility.
- Enter your master keypad code.
- Speech Rate is the third option on the Accessibility screen. From this section, you can select Regular, Fast, or Fastest.
