The National Do Not Call Registry is a database maintained by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, that lists the telephone numbers of individuals who have requested that telemarketers not contact them.
Even if your telephone number is on the National Do Not Call Registry, Comcast may call you for sales purposes if you're one of our customers, you're a recent customer, or you recently inquired about one of our products or services.
Comcast doesn't add numbers to the National Do Not Call Registry, but we offer instructions for doing so below.
FAQs
How can I add my number to the National Do Not Call Registry?
Add your phone number to the National Do Not Call Registry for free by visiting donotcall.gov or calling 1-888-382-1222 (TTY 1-866-290-4236) toll-free from the phone you wish to register.
Your phone number should show up on the Registry the next day. Most sales calls will stop once your number has been on the Registry for 31 days. You can verify that your number is on the Registry by visiting donotcall.gov or calling 1-888-382-1222.
Note: Ported numbers must be re-registered with the National Do Not Call Registry.
The FTC offers additional information about registering on its website: consumer.ftc.gov/articles/national-do-not-call-registry-faqs.
Comcast Do Not Call list
If you do not want to receive sales calls from Comcast, you can add your number to Comcast’s internal Do Not Call list by filling out a Request to Opt Out or asking a Comcast representative to add you to our Do Not Call list.
While you may receive additional sales calls within 30 days of the request date, Comcast will refrain from dialing the phone number for sales purposes after that period. If you are a current Comcast customer, you may still receive phone calls from Comcast with information or notifications regarding services to which you currently subscribe.
