First, unbox
You’ll find everything you need inside:
- Your new phone and charger (some phones won’t have a charger included)
- The quick start guide outlining the setup process
- Any accessories you ordered with your new phone (larger accessories may be shipped separately)
Next, activate
Keep your phone off and follow the instructions in your quick start guide.
If you’re getting a new number, activation happens in moments. If you’re bringing your phone number to Xfinity Mobile, it will take a little longer. Don't worry, there's no need to sit by your phone waiting for it to activate. You can visit xfinitymobile.com any time to check your activation status, and we'll send you a confirmation email when you're good to go.
If you're having trouble setting up an iPhone
Are you having trouble getting your iPhone to work on Xfinity Mobile?
- Make sure to choose Set Up Over WiFi (not Set Up Over Cellular) when activating your phone
- If you've activated but your iPhone's not working, confirm that you see Xfinity Mobile on the top left of the home screen.
If you don't, follow these steps:
- Connect to a WiFi network.
- Go to Settings > General > About.
- Wait for the Carrier Settings Update prompt to appear, then select Update.
