Your wireless gateway may support Remote Management, which allows you to configure your home network settings from the Internet (WAN side) without needing to connect to your local network (LAN side) via Ethernet or over WiFi.
Access and Configure Remote Management
- With a laptop, phone or tablet that’s connected to your network, open a web browser and go to the Admin Tool at http://10.0.0.1.
- If you’ve already changed your Admin Tool ID and password, log in with your information.
- Pro tip: This username and password aren’t the same as your WiFi name and password.
- If you haven’t changed the username and password, log in with:

- On this page, you will note that Remote Management can be performed via HTTP and HTTPS.
- Enable whichever option makes sense for your needs; then you will be able to access your wireless gateway's Admin Tool remotely by using the protocol you have specified.
- Select whether you would like to have Remote Management open to all Internet IP Addresses, an Internet IP Address range or a single Internet IP Address.
- When finished, click Save in order to begin the remote management session.
