Here's how to get information on episodes of your favorite TV series that are being broadcast or are available in Xfinity On Demand, using Xfinity X1.
Use the X1 episode guide
To access episode information using the X1 guide:
- Press the Guide or xfinity button on your remote control.
- Locate the program by browsing the guide or through the Search menu.
- Use the up, down, left, or right arrow buttons on the remote to highlight the program.
- Then, press the Info or OK button on the remote.
- Note: If your remote does not have an OK button, press the raised button in the center of the directional pad.
- Use the right arrow button to highlight Episodes. Then press the OK button.
- The Episode Guide will open to the Free tab.
- If there aren’t any free episodes available, you’ll instead land on the Available tab.
- Programs with a time or date in the right-hand column next to their name are airing at a future date and are not available through Xfinity On Demand.
- Programs with a price listed are available for purchase through Xfinity On Demand.
- Programs with an On Demand symbol in the right-hand column are available through Xfinity On Demand.
- Programs with a DVR symbol in the right-hand column are recorded on your DVR.
- Programs that display a progress bar indicate a program that you have begun watching (through Xfinity On Demand or a recording).
- In the list, Hitz channels will take you directly to On Demand content.
- The Episode Guide will open to the Free tab.
- To navigate to a specific episode:
- Use the up arrow and down arrow buttons to highlight the desired season of the series and press OK.
- Use the up arrow and down arrow buttons to highlight the desired episode of the series and press OK.
- If prompted, highlight the desired language and/or video definition (SD or HD) and press OK.
- Press the Info button to view the full summary of the episode details if the entire description is not visible on-screen.
- Press Info again to dismiss the window.
- To set up a recording for the episode, use the right arrow button to highlight Record and press OK.
- Press Last to navigate to the previous screen.
Notes:
- You can filter the episodes to display only those in your Recordings, those available On Demand, or those airing On TV.
- Use the right arrow button to navigate to Filter and press OK.
- Choose your filter, and press OK.
- To display all episodes, repeat these steps and choose the All filter.
- Use the right arrow button to navigate to Filter and press OK.
- You can sort the episodes by Most Recent or Oldest First.
- Use the down arrow and right arrow buttons to navigate to Sort and press OK.
- Then choose your sorting option, and press OK.
- You can switch between higher and lower resolutions on your X1 TV Box — including to 4K UHD.
