This article provides instructions on resolving the "XRE-00251 - This device needs to be added to your account before we can continue" error.
Solution Code
When this error occurs, you’ll see the following message on your device:
- There’s one quick issue to fix.
- A few details are missing from your account. You should receive a text on your mobile phone with a link to get instructions from Xfinity Assistant. You can also use any device to visit xfinity.com/assistant. Please select Try Again once the account issue has been resolved.
