Xfinity X1, Xumo Stream Box from Xfinity, and Xfinity Flex provide a one-stop shop for the best content, all just a voice command away.
From X1's “all in” entertainment experience to Xumo Stream Box's streaming and On Demand content, we have a range of options that make it easy for you to access the content you want, when you want it.
To use these apps, you’ll need Xfinity Internet service (any level) and either:
- A compatible X1 TV Box as part of your Xfinity TV service.
- RNG150s, XG1v1s, Samsung XG2v2s and Pace Xi3s may not be supported.
Or
- RNG150s, XG1v1s, Samsung XG2v2s and Pace Xi3s may not be supported.
- A Xumo Stream Box, or streaming TV Box with Xfinity Flex service.
- Xi5s may not be supported.
Notes:
- All X1 apps require a 16:9 aspect ratio to display properly on your TV.
- Using apps that require the internet (e.g., Netflix, Peacock, and Prime Video), will count against your Xfinity Internet data usage.
- An Internet badge under an app or feature's menu tile indicates using it will count toward your Xfinity Internet data usage.

Access and navigate the apps
Xfinity X1 and Xfinity Flex
- Press the Xfinity button on your Voice Remote.
- Select Apps.
- Select the section and app of your choice by pressing OK or the center of the directional pad on your Voice Remote.
- Opening one of these apps will display a banner noting that you're entering a third-party app, with more information available by pressing the Info (i) button on your Voice Remote.
- Note: If you press Info (i), you’ll be taken to the following tip card (which will exit the app).

- Once the app is open, navigate the content and press OK (or the raised button in the center of your directional pad) on your remote to select the content to watch.
Xumo Stream Box
- Navigate to the apps row of your Home screen by pressing down on the directional pad of your remote.
- Click Apps View all.
- Select the section and app of your choice by pressing the center of the directional pad on your remote.
- Once the app is open, navigate the content and press the center of the directional pad on your remote to select the content to watch.

Do I need to register or sign in?
Many apps can be enjoyed without registering or signing in. (E.g., with the Pandora app, you'll need to sign in to your account after 15 minutes. Learn how to access Pandora.)
Does watching content on these apps count against my Xfinity Internet data usage?
Yes. Because content from these apps is delivered over your Xfinity Internet service, it's subject to the same rules, terms and conditions that affect Xfinity Internet service, including any data usage plans that may apply.
Are there any accessibility features?
Since these are third-party applications, most of your accessibility user preferences on X1, Xumo Stream Box, and Flex will not be observed once you launch an app. However, you can enable the app’s own accessibility features, which will vary between each app.
How do I block access to these apps on X1, Xumo Stream Box, or Flex?
There are several ways you can set parental controls for these apps:
- Block content by selecting Settings > Parental Controls > TV Rating Locks > TV-MA.
- Once locked, you'll need to enter a Parental Control PIN before you can access the app.
- Block access to the app using an Application Lock.
Note: Once an app is launched, X1 parental control settings will not guard against content searches or playback within the app.
