The Manage Channels app on Xfinity X1 allows you to add to or update your existing Xfinity TV services directly through your TV!
To ensure only those authorized to add subscriptions can do so, you may add parental controls or locks on your TV Box. For more information, see locking access with application locks for X1 and/or setting up X1 Locks PIN and turning parental controls on or off.
Access to the Manage Channels app requires X1 service with an eligible X1 TV Box.
Access the Manage Channels app
- Get to the app by saying “Manage Channels app” into your Xfinity Voice Remote or pressing the xfinity button on your remote.
- Use the arrow buttons on your remote to go to Apps and press OK.
- Go to the Xfinity row of the Apps menu.
- Go to Manage Channels and press OK.
- You'll see this screen:

Add channels to your account
- Select Manage Channels and press OK on your remote.
- You'll see the Subscription management screen.
- You can search between subscriptions by selecting Featured, Premium, On Demand, International, and Sports tabs.
- You'll see Your plan, including the current monthly total, on the right of the screen.
- You'll see a green checkmark below your subscribed channels.
- Select a channel you want to add.
- You'll see a purple checkmark below the channel you’ve selected to add.
- You can add multiple channels to your package at once by toggling to the channel without a checkmark and then selecting multiple channels.
- A purple checkmark will show under each channel you’ve selected to add to your plan.
- You'll see changes to your plan, including the price of the added channel and estimated taxes and fees, on the right side under Your plan.
- Select Next on the right to continue and then press OK on your remote.
- You'll see your changes on the Review & Submit screen.
- To continue, select Submit and press OK.
- To change your selection, select Back and then press OK.
- Once you’ve completed the order, you'll see a confirmation screen.
- Note: Most orders process right away, but in some cases, it can take up to 10 minutes before you can watch your new subscription.
Remove channels from your account
Currently, you can remove the More Sports & Entertainment Package, International packages, and more from the app. To remove any of these from your package:
- Select Manage Channels and press OK on your remote.
- You'll see the Subscription management screen.
- You can search between subscriptions by selecting Featured, Premium, On Demand, International, and Sports tabs.
- You'll see Your plan, including the current monthly total, on the right of the screen.
- You'll also see a green checkmark below the channels to which you’re already subscribed.
- Select the subscription you want to remove.
- You'll see a purple checkmark below the channel you’re removing.
- You'll see changes to your plan, including the price of the channel you’re removing and estimated taxes and fees, on the right side under Your plan.
- Select Next to continue and then press OK on your remote.
- You'll see your changes on the Review & Submit screen.
- To continue, select Submit and press OK.
- To change your selection, select Back and press OK.
- Once you’ve completed the order, you'll see a confirmation screen.
