Movie Rating Locks let you set Parental Controls to lock movies based on their Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) ratings. Learn how to set up and manage parental control Movie Rating Locks with Xfinity X1.

Enable Movie Locks
- Press the xfinity button on your remote control.
- Using the right arrow button, highlight Settings (gear icon). Press the OK button.
Note: If your remote doesn't have an OK button, press the raised button in the center of the directional pad. - Use the down arrow button to highlight Parental Controls. Press OK.
- If you've already set up a Parental Controls PIN, you'll be prompted to enter your four-digit Locks PIN. Use the number buttons on the remote to enter your Locks PIN.
- Use the down arrow button to highlight Movie Rating Locks. Press OK.
- To lock or unlock a movie rating, use the down arrow button to highlight the rating.
- A gray, open lock icon means unlocked movie ratings.
- A blue, closed lock icon means locked movie ratings.
- Press OK to turn the lock on (locked) or off (unlocked).
- Highlight any additional ratings you want to lock or unlock and press OK.
- Press Exit to go back to standard TV viewing, or press Last/back arrow to return to the Settings menu.
