Introduction
Title Locks allow you to set Parental Controls to lock access to individual shows, series and movies. This article provides details on how to set up and manage parental control Title Locks with Xfinity X1.
In order to turn Title Locks on or off, you must first set up a Locks PIN. For details on setting up a Locks PIN, see Set Up Your Locks PIN and Turn Parental Controls On and Off for X1.
Locking a Title
Lock a Title From the Guide
- Press the Guide button on your remote control.
- Using the arrow buttons, scroll to highlight the programming you would like to lock.
- Press the Info button once.
- Scroll to highlight Movie Info or Series Info. Press the OK button.
- Using the right arrow button, scroll to highlight Lock. Press the OK button.
- You will be prompted to enter your four-digit Locks PIN using the number pad on your remote control.
- The title you have selected is now Locked.
Lock a Title from the Program
- While watching a program, press the Info button.
- Using the right arrow button, scroll to highlight Info. Press the OK button.
- Using the right arrow button, scroll to highlight Lock. Press the OK button.
- You will be prompted twice to enter your four-digit Locks PIN using the number pad on your remote control.
- The title you have selected is now Locked.
- Because you are now watching a locked title, you will be asked for your Locks PIN a second time to be able to resume watching
- Either enter your Locks PIN again to unblock the channel and press Exit to return to standard TV viewing
- Or press Exit twice and change the channel using your remote control to continue standard TV viewing.
