Learn about SAP on Xfinity X1.
Note: Not all programs have a secondary audio soundtrack available for all languages. Channels sometimes place an audio description audio track on the Spanish or Portuguese track.
How to tell if SAP is available on a program
Programs that have Spanish language as a secondary audio option will appear with a SAP icon for quick and easy identification.
From the guide: Select Info and check the right side of the screen to see if the SAP icon is there.
From On Demand: Select Watch options or a specific show to see if the SAP icon is there.
Notes:
- In the Watch options, not all programs will show the SAP icon.
- Press the down arrow on your Xfinity remote to find the program option with the SAP icon.
- SAP icons will display whether you are in English or Spanish menu navigation.
SAP filters
Programs that have Spanish language as secondary audio can be found with Xfinity On Demand filters. While visiting Xfinity On Demand, select Filter > SAP to find shows or movies with Spanish secondary audio.

Turn SAP on while watching a show
- While watching full-screen video, press the down arrow on your Xfinity remote. The transport bar and playback controls will pop up on the lower third of the screen.
- Note: Audio Guidance isn't configured to speak the options on the transport bar.
- Press the left key to move to the SAP button and press OK.
- When you select the SAP button, you'll see the Audio Options panel and all available audio tracks for the program you're watching. A checkmark shows which audio track is currently playing.
- To change your audio track, choose one of the available tracks from the Audio Options panel.
- Note: Your choice will be saved for other programs until you pick a different track.
Restore the default audio track
You can reset your audio track back to the default with Audio Language Reset. The default will stay in place until you pick a new track from the Audio Options panel.
You can get to Audio Language Reset by going to Settings in X1 and either choosing Language, Audio or Accessibility.
Turn subtitles on while watching a show
To turn subtitles on or off, follow the same steps above and select Closed Captioning Options.
