If you received your X1 equipment as part of a Getting Started kit, it's important to install and activate your devices in the right order. Learn more below.
Activation order
- Wireless gateway
- If you received a wireless gateway, connect and activate it first.
- If you already have a wireless gateway, or you only ordered video services, connect and activate your X1 equipment now.
- Primary TV Box
- If you received one or more X1 TV Boxes, connect your primary TV Box first. The TV Box will be labeled as the primary in your Getting Started kit.
- Additional TV Boxes
- You should connect and activate additional TV Boxes after your wireless gateway (if part of your service) and your primary TV Box.
