Cause code
If you receive this error message when activating your xFi Pod(s), your xFi Pod is currently linked to another account and you are using an old version of the Xfinity app.
Solution code
If you’re receiving this error, please try activating your pod(s) using Bluetooth and/or updating to the latest version of the Xfinity app and then try activating the xFi Pods again.
To activate using Bluetooth:
Enable Bluetooth on your smart phone and follow directions to activate WiFi Boost Pods.
To check for the latest app version:
- Launch the App Store or Play Store.
- Search for Xfinity.
- If a new version is available, click the Update button.
If you’re still experiencing an error after updating or if you can’t update to the newest version of the Xfinity app, please contact Comcast Customer Support. Be sure to have the serial number of the xFi Pods that you want to activate handy.
