This document provides instructions on what to do if you receive the 'Pods Not Coming Online' or 'My Pods Won't Come Online' error message when activating your xFi Pods from the Xfinity app.
If you receive the 'Pods Not Coming Online' error message and you don't intend to use all the xFi Pods in your multi-pod pack, simply select Not Using All Pods to proceed to the next step in the activation process.
If you continue through activation and receive the 'My Pods Won’t Come Online' error message after plugging in all of the xFi Pods from the set, then:
- Check that your xFi Pods are not plugged in to power outlets that are connected to light switches.
- Check that your xFi Pod is placed in an electric outlet halfway between your Gateway and an area without coverage.
- Then, if you have more pods to activate, make sure your remaining xFi Pods are evenly spaced from each other and the Gateway to ensure even coverage.
- Make sure that your xFi Pods are visible and not blocked by furniture or other large objects.
- Try unplugging the xFi Pod and plugging it back in. It may take a minute for the xFi Pod to connect. Check for a small light on the front of the xFi Pod when first plugged in.
- If no light turns on when the Pod is first plugged in, please contact us to troubleshoot.
- Do not connect your xFi Pods directly to your xFi Gateway using the Ethernet port on the bottom of the xFi Pod. The xFi Pods connect wirelessly to the xFi Gateway. You will not be able to activate your xFi Pods if one is connected directly to the Gateway.
