This document provides instructions on what to do if you receive the "Trouble naming Pods" or "Pod can't be found to name" error message when activating your xFi Pods from the xFi mobile app.
Solution code
If you receive this error message during the xFi Pods activation process, you can select Skip Naming Pods to proceed through activation. xFi Pods can be named or renamed any time after activation.
To attempt to troubleshoot during activation:
- Make sure that you are holding your phone approximately six to eight inches away from the xFi Pod that you are trying to name.
- Check that your xFi Pods are not plugged in to power outlets that are connected to light switches.
- Make sure that your xFi Pods are visible and not blocked by furniture or other large objects.
- Try unplugging the xFi Pod and plugging it back in.
- It may take a minute for the xFi Pod to connect.
- Check for a small light on the front of the xFi Pod when first plugged in.
- If no light turns on when the xFi Pod is first plugged in, contact us to order a replacement xFi Pod.
