Xfinity On Campus — Common error messages

• Open a ticket with your student help desk to ensure your account has the correct housing attribute to be flagged as an on-campus resident.

If you’re connected to your university WiFi but are getting this error:

• Open a ticket with your student help desk to confirm the IP address you’re connecting to is within the university’s supported IP range.

• In-progress recording: If the error code appears after trying playback again, wait until the recording has finished and retry. 
• Playback of completed recording: If the error code appears after attempting playback again, it means the recording manager failed and unfortunately the recording won’t work.
  • You’ll need to wait for the episode or movie to replay or watch it when it becomes available on Xfinity On Demand.
• Live streaming: The stream experienced an issue and failed. Please reach out for support.

You’ll see this error message if you’re trying to use the AirPlay feature or an adapter for a mobile device to cast the image to a larger screen.

• The AirPlay and mobile casting features aren’t available for Xfinity On Campus customers due to digital rights management in our programming contracts.
