The Xfinity skill in the Alexa app:

Eligibility
You can use your Xfinity Video Doorbell with the Xfinity skill in the Alexa app if you have:
- Pro Protection
- Xfinity Home Secure
- Pro Protection Plus
- Self Protection
Equipment and app requirements
You’ll also need:
- An Xfinity Video Doorbell.
- An Alexa-compatible device.
- The Alexa mobile app for Android or iOS.
Add the Xfinity skill in the Alexa app and link your Xfinity Video Doorbell
- Open the Amazon Alexa app.
- In the More tab, tap Skills & Games.
- Tap the search icon in the top right corner and type “Xfinity."
- Tap the Xfinity skill.
- Tap Enable to use.
- You’ll be redirected to sign in to your Xfinity account.
- Once signed in, you’ll need to provide consent by tapping Agree to the privacy agreement.
- You’ll be redirected to the Alexa app.
- The Alexa app will search for compatible Xfinity Video Doorbells to connect.
- Tap Set Up Device to link and tap Next.
- Tap Close to continue.
- Tap Done.
Note: If you have more than one Xfinity Video Doorbell, you’ll need to link them too. Once all your devices are linked, you’ll must turn on Press Notifications for each.
Turn on/off Doorbell Press Notifications and configure Announcement Devices
Once your Xfinity Video Doorbell is linked in the Alexa app, you can turn your doorbell notifications on or off:
- Locate your Xfinity Video Doorbell in the Devices section of your Alexa app.
- Tap the toggle next to Doorbell Press Notifications to On to enable notifications.
- Note: If you want to disable notifications, tap the toggle to the Off position.
- Note: If you want to disable notifications, tap the toggle to the Off position.
You can configure which Alexa devices you want to make announcements for the Xfinity Video Doorbell:
- Ensure notifications are On.
- Tap Announcement Devices.
- Select your preferences.

FAQs
I have added the Xfinity skill in the Alexa app, why am I not hearing Doorbell Press Notifications?
To use this feature, you must:
- Add the Xfinity skill in the Alexa app.
- Link your Xfinity Video Doorbell.
- Turn on Doorbell Press Notifications for each device.
If you’re still not hearing the notifications, you can:
- Go to your Device settings in the Alexa app.
- Make sure you don’t have the do not disturb setting enabled.
If I rename my doorbell in one app, will the name update in the other app?
At this time, you’ll need to update device names in each app.
I have deleted my Xfinity Video Doorbell in the Alexa app. Why is it still prompting me to link it again? Does Comcast install these devices?
If you'd no longer like to use the Doorbell Press Notification functionality through the Alexa app, you must:
- Navigate to the Xfinity skill in the Alexa app.
- Tap Disable Skill.
