What is SAP?
Some programs offer additional language soundtracks, or Secondary Audio Programs (SAPs), that allow you to listen to a program in a different language. SAP soundtracks are supplied by content providers and aren't available in all programs.
Changing your preferred audio language while watching a program
You can easily change your preferred audio language while watching any program that includes an SAP.
- On the program playback page, scroll over the bottom part of the screen to display the video controls.
- Scroll over the SAP icon. If the SAP icon is dimmed or not shown, an SAP isn't available for this program.
- In the SAP pop-up box, select the language you want to hear. This setting applies to the video player, so this turns on your language preference for all programs, not just the one you're currently watching.
Changing your preferred audio language in Settings
To change your preferred audio language in the portal settings:
- On any Xfinity Stream portal page, click the Settings icon at the right end of the menu bar at the top of the page.
- On the Settings page, click Language.
- On the Language page, click your preferred SAP language.
Did You Know? You can also select your preferred SAP language while watching any program that includes an SAP soundtrack in that language.
