If you have a visual impairment, are hearing impaired or have other conditions or impairments, you can enjoy the accessibility enhancements available with Xumo Stream Box, including closed captions (CC), audio description (AD), voice guidance, and Remote shortcut.
Find accessibility options on Xumo Stream Box
To find Xumo Stream Box accessibility options, press the button with the three dots (…) on your XR100 Remote.
You can also access the Remote shortcut by pressing the Settings icon on your remote twice.
Note: If you have an older box, you may have a remote with a B button on it. You can also press the B button to reach your accessibility settings.
Set your Accessibility Shortcut (remotes with B button only)
When you press the B button twice on your remote (also known as your Accessibility Shortcut), Voice Guidance will be turned on by default.
To change your Accessibility Shortcut:
- Go to Settings in the main menu.
- Press OK.
- Arrow down to Accessibility Settings.
- Press OK or say, "Accessibility Settings" into your Voice Remote.
- Choose Remote Shortcut and press OK.
- Select the option you want to assign to your shortcut and press OK.
What accessibility features are on Xumo Stream Box?
Xumo Stream Box includes accessibility features like:
- CC that display dialogue on your TV during movies and shows.
- AD that narrates supported programs with audio descriptions of key visuals.
- Voice guidance that reads what’s on your TV’s screen including menus, guides, and settings.
- Remote shortcut so you can quickly turn on or off closed captions, audio description or voice guidance by pressing
on your remote twice.
Note: Voice commands only work if your device is connected to the internet.
