Your equipment
Before you can install and re-activate your services at your new address, you'll need to gather and bring all Xfinity equipment, accessories, cables and power cords that connect your Xfinity TV, Xfinity Internet and Xfinity Voice services.
If you need help identifying your Comcast equipment, view your equipment information in My Account. Your equipment might include:
- TV Box
- Remote
- Modem
- Router
- Xfinity Internet and Xfinity Voice modem (eMTA)
- Wireless Gateway
Make sure you bring all of your cables with you. Unsure what they look like? Learn more about identifying connection types. Your cables may include power cables, cords and accessories, like:
- Coaxial cables
- HDMI cables
- Ethernet cables
- All electrical cords and accessories
Tip: Unplug your cords from the wall, but leave the power cords and cables connected to their devices to save time when setting up your services.
If you're upgrading your service and need to return your equipment, see the return options.
Installation and activation
You may choose to have your new equipment and services professionally installed, and in some cases, it may be required. When you contact us to schedule your move, we'll confirm this with you. If you're eligible to activate and install your services on your own, you can do so once you've arrived with all of your equipment in your new home.
