Learn how to use the Xfinity Home app to control your Nest Learning Thermostat.

- Xfinity Internet or Xfinity Home
- Access to the Xfinity Home app
- The Nest Thermostat installed and operating according to the manufacturer's instructions, and connected to your Xfinity system

Changing Your Thermostat Settings
- Sign in to the Xfinity Home app.
- On the Overview screen, scroll to the Thermostat tile. Tap plus (+) or minus (-) to raise or lower the temperature, or, tap the three dots to open the Thermostat details screen.
The Thermostat tile shows you important information about your Nest Thermostat.
- Ambient Temperature: Current ambient temperature of your home is shown on the left.
- Thermostat Name: The name you gave your Nest Thermostat in your Nest account.
- Mode: Current Thermostat mode and temperature settings are shown under the Thermostat name.
The Thermostat tile shows you the Status (Home, Away, Eco) when one is active.
The Thermostat details screen shows you additional information about your Nest Thermostat and allows you to change the temperature and some settings.
- Changing the Setpoint Temperature: The setpoint icon (the temperature on the arc) shows the current setpoint (your preferred temperature). To change it, tap the plus (+) or minus (-).
- Changing the Mode: The icon beneath the temperature represents the Thermostat's current mode: Off, Cool, Heat, Heat-Cool or Eco. Tap the current mode icon to display all the modes, then tap the icon for the desired mode.
- Heat: Warms up your home.
- Cool: Cools down your home.
- Heat-Cool: Automatically switches between heating and cooling to keep your home within a preferred temperature range.
- Eco: Automatically switches to an energy-saving preset range of temperatures when you set the status to Away or select Eco mode. The leaf icon also displays whenever the set temperature is in the energy-saving range.
- Off: Turns the Thermostat off.
- Heat: Warms up your home.
- Changing the Heat-Cool Range: When your Nest Thermostat is set to Heat-Cool mode, you can adjust the minimum temperature and maximum temperature. Tap Range.
Raise or lower the Min Temp or Max Temp, then tap Save. - Changing the Status: Although your Nest Thermostat learns when you're at home and away, you can manually set your Nest Thermostat to Away status from the Xfinity Home app. Tap the current status to display the list, then tap the desired status.
Did You Know? Although your Nest Thermostat automatically switches to Eco settings when you set Away, you can change the Eco temperature range from your Nest Thermostat or the Nest app. Learn how at Nest Support.
